Commenter: no names pleaseI started college at 31 and had been on a cash economy all my life. In 2008 I dropped out of my PhD program when their money ran out and I had exceeded all the limits on loans (since they were all changed during the Bush years). Now I work at a museum part-time netting about 10,000 a year, can barely pay my mortgage, and have 150,000 in debt in forebearance not counting the interest to finance it for 30 years. I already paid back a couple of my little loans when I was still in school but I figured if I finished my Doctorate I would have a chance of getting an income that would balance out the debt but there are very little opportunities at this time with all the cuts to the economy. I wrote to Obama and asked him to eliminate all the interest on Gov. subsidized and unsubsidized loans to give people like me a fighting chance to pay it back, plus the bank will make plenty of money already without that extra burden. I never heard back from him yet but I may write him again about it.

Anyway, she gets home ‘bout a quarter after five every day. Goes through the house and comes out the back door wearin’ her coveralls. In her backyard she has a long line of rabbit hutches and she spends, what is to me, an inordinate amount of time messin’ with them rabbits … talkin’ to ‘em … singin’ ‘em little rabbit songs.
The water route between Newcastle and Stockton had been the only one available since a passenger rowboat service began in 1853, followed by small paddlewheelers in 1869 and a cargo punt in the late 1880s. According to The Car Punts Of Newcastle, a cyber book by Bill Bottomley (www.billbottomley.com.au) the purpose-built vehicular ferry Mildred, the first vessel built at the state dockyard on Walsh Island, took over in 1916, followed by the Kooroongaba in 1932 and the Lurgurena in 1945.
Hair flips and high kicks, lipstick and lace — NYC’s sexiest Dance Variety Show promises to entertain! Guilty Pleasures Cabaret’s sultry charm and feminine energy brings refreshing talent and artistry to the cabaret theater experience. They were founded in 2014 by six friends in New York City who wanted to produce a show that highlighted both their performing and creative talents. Inspired by music, dance, and costumes that fulfilled their guilty performing pleasures, the show was born – thus earning their namesake "Guilty Pleasures Cabaret". The ladies debuted their show in Manhattan on the Upper West Side at a neighborhood bar, and after nine months they moved downtown where they were selling out monthly shows at the renowned Duplex Cabaret Theater. The ladies have since made the Duplex their performing home. With a speak-easy feel, a hint of the roaring twenties, and a sprinkle of the swinging sixties – the show remains modern and sexy. The ladies, clad in fishnets, tap dance, contort, sing, and pirouette to the sounds of ‘Chicago’, ‘Great Gatsby’, ‘Cabaret’, Beyonce, and Nancy Sinatra, to name a few, playfully mixing the old with the new. The girls of the Guilty Pleasure… (read more)
In spite of the slick sledding Myron was no longer aerodynamic. His drag coefficient was approaching that of a trawler with a net full of moldy hay. The cow idled momentarily and Myron slipped the chain off his wrist. He plopped in the flop and lay like a plow left in the furrow.

www.FutureOldSchool.Com Future Old School is an all-rap dance party that takes place on the last Saturday of every month at Friends and Lovers in Crown Heights. Started by Brooklyn-based DJs Dash Speaks, NSR, Friends w Benefits, and Will Buck as a forum to play the old-school rap music on which they grew up for themselves and their friends, FOS has since become one of the best monthly parties in New York City. It’s a fresh take on an old-school party – grounded in the music that pulls at the heart-strings of millennial hip hop heads at a venue that captures the energy of a quickly vanishing New York. In the past few months alone, guests have included Pete Rock, Maseo, J. Period, Pharoahe Monch, DMC Champion DJ Esquire, Statik Selektah and Grand Wizard Theodore. 10PM//$5//21+

Young dogs think work is play. They turn over a new rock everyday discovering their world. Kinda like the thrill I got when I saw those geese fill the sky. Innocent wonderment. Made me feel like a puppy again.
