I’ve taken so many different parent PLUS loans, and they’ve been consolidated and transferred to new lenders so many times, I can’t even keep track of them all and my overall balance! I do know that all of the loans combined add up to a hefty, and growing, monthly payment and a huge overall debt. Thankfully, so far I’ve been able to keep up with the monthly payments, and 1 child is near finished and another is close behind, so pretty soon I won’t have to take out any more loans, but I’ll be paying them off for some time. However, I am grateful that the kids will not have to start out their young lives being burdened with too much student debt on their own since I’ve been able to take it on for them.
