National Sawdust’s Classical Sundays series presents renowned pianist Huizi Zhang to explore the evolution of piano composition and virtuosic performance. The program will include selections from the dense melodic webs of Ligeti in addition to world premieres from a diverse pool of contemporary composers. This program explores the evolution of piano composition and performance, as it continues to be reinvented at the turn of the century. Additionally, Zhang will be joined by violinist Holly Nelson as guest artist, exploring repertoire for violin and piano.
