He has an entry level job and does not make a lot of money and lives in an expensive area (took a long time to even get this job). We were struggling before the loans and now we are at the point of probably having to go bankrupt and sell/lose our home. We are in our mid fifties and one of us cannot find a job. We are in dire straits however, we are not eligible for any programs. We are the forgotten who carries most of the burden. I never thought I would be this age, not healthy and potentially not having anywhere to live but still having all the debts. This is a result of private student lenders gouging, Congress giving their blessing, and colleges steering our young to bad loans. I wish there was some help for people like us.
