An exceptional ensemble of performers—including Ailyn Pérez, Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard, Luca Pisaroni, Mariusz Kwiecien, and Ildar Abdrazakov—share the stage in Mozart’s comic yet profound look at human nature and one crazy day in a wealthy Spanish household. The British beat Australia 2-1 in the rugby league Test series that tour, but could not overcome Newcastle, with the game also remembered for two Great Britain players being sent off and a spectator running onto the field to attack one of the British forwards. With the game almost over, Newcastle’s halfback Neville Hannah was flattened in a tackle by British prop Jack Wilkinson, who was eventually sent off.
A dictionary entry for the word "influential" might easily place a picture of Television and stop there. The band has a devout following worldwide and has had a major effect on British post-punk rock as well as American indie rock. Starting in New York’s East Village in 1973, the band, consisting of Tom Verlaine, Richard Hell, Billy Ficca and Richard Lloyd, were at the center of the scene soon to be labeled punk. The band crystalized with the departure of Hell in 1975 and the addition of Fred Smith on Bass. Television’s debut album released in February 1977 Marquee Moon was hailed by critics as one of the most striking and original recording debuts in years. The scissory, cascading guitar lines, the jabbing vocals, and the "psychotic calypso" drumming demonstrated that there was nothing punky or muddled about Television — it has the silvery clarity of a poised knife — and the writers gushed: "One of the most deliriously exciting debut albums I’ve ever heard" — Newsday "An obvious, unashamed classic" — Sounds "They loom, as the Stravinskys of rock" — N.Y. Daily News "The most powerful and passionate rock to come out of anywhere…" — Village Voice "As of this moment,… (read more)

Supporting the troops and their families on the front lines in the war on terror is not a partisan act. It is an act of pride, compassion, love, concern, anguish and hope. They carry our colors into harm’s way, and have since 1776.
Commenter: RepublicanShame on you PBS! I have to laugh at this name of this topic – it assumes that students are "victims" of the big, bad banks. Every student has a choice. When you sign the prom note you PROMISE to pay – and to read your responsibilities. Wake up America -don’t borrow more than you can pay back – and stop going for double undergraduate degrees and/or majoring in Art History.

By the 1990s, it was all done with strategically placed "Eye-in-the-Sky" cameras throughout the property. They’re not hard to spot overhead, and that’s on purpose.
Brendan Taylor isn’t interested in normalcy. At 8, things like a gifted Porsche 944 model car, his dad’s Citroen DS he’d pretend to drive, and a couple of Peugeots of his mom’s all contributed to his deviating from things like S14s with SR swaps or Civic hatchbacks on Mugen rims. Instead, Brendan found solace in machines like Nissan’s President Sovereign—a boat of a luxury sedan you know nothing about—as well as a life-size 944 to complement that toy and, more recently, an RB26DETT-motivated Stagea 260RS, also a product of Nissan obscurity.
