Every forming option has its pros and cons; it’s the nature of technology in general. But according to sources, when it comes to precision sheet metal forming, the modern fabricator has plenty of choices, and a folding machine is one that shouldn’t be overlooked.
The Descant trio is the creative brain cherub of pianist, singer, songwriter Lyndol Descant. Originally from Texas, she studied jazz in Paris and has been playing actively on the NYC music scene for over 5 years. All Love, her 2nd album release, consists of 9 Pop fusion originals. The music was created from her passion for nature, philosophy, the healing arts, and the unmistakable power of music. To quote Stacey Zering of No Depression, her songs are "not restrained by stylistic boundaries. Her compositions reach into Pop, Jazz Fusion and Alternative sounds, their elements mixing together in complete harmony." The Descant Trio is completed by Ran Livneh on Bass, Uri Zelig on drums. And with special guest – Billy Eric on guitar. These master jazz cats, who play on the cutting edge of the NYC scene, dance confidently into the different dimensions that All Love invokes.
An NYC based 3 piece, Calm and Crisis delivers wild, dynamic live performances with an in your face attitude coupled with introspective lyrics and relatable stories. Outer Limits is a new commissioned program with four diverse composers that are working with music in different directions. The evening will include composers Tristan Perich (USA), Nik Bärtsch (Switzerland), Pete Harden (UK/The Netherlands), and Vanessa Lann (USA/The Netherlands) In the work of Tristan Perich, we feature two dueling pianos juxtaposed against a web 1-bit electronics in a raucous nancarrow-esque piece. In Nik Bartsch, he has written a three movement work conjuring deep rhythmic grooves and virtuosic unison licks with beautiful mesmerizing suspension. Pete Harden will be writing a work that will be a improvised map of sounds, based off of butterfly migration patterns, and in the case of Vanessa Lann, she will be creating a theatrical work with poetry and movement.

A large majority of the world’s surfers never compete, and a good number take no interest in the pro tour, the surf media, any of it. They just surf. At times, a noncompetitor emerges as the consensus “world’s best surfer,” some underground genius whose reputation flows entirely from mind-blowing performances in video clips. Slater could conceivably be just as celebrated, though not as rich, if he had never put on a contest jersey. Still, most of us follow the tour, tuning in at least for the high points—the great days when it all comes together in Fiji or Tahiti or at the Pipe Masters.
"Let’s backtrack a second." AJ stepped in. "Let’s focus on the discussion. This is a discussion of failed political systems."
“The BHP was shut, jobs were gone, but all of a sudden we made the grand final and people were up. There was this massive surge of energy and all this momentum behind us because an entire city was behind us.

Ponselle, Milanov, Sutherland, Callas … after last night, Radvanovsky can add her name to the list," declared the Huffington Post when Sondra Radvanovsky made her Met role debut as Norma in 2013. The 2017–18 season opens with a new production of Bellini’s masterpiece, starring Radvanovsky as the Druid priestess and Joyce DiDonato as her archrival, Adalgisa—a casting coup for bel canto fans. Tenor Joseph Calleja is Pollione, Norma’s unfaithful lover, and Carlo Rizzi conducts. Sir David McVicar’s evocative production sets the action deep in a Druid forest where nature and ancient ritual rule.
Since forming in January 2017, the improvisational jam-rock trio has broken into the jam scene with style. On any given night the pace can change from a pop tune to a heavy rock song to a classical section which weaves in and out of keys and time signatures. The band thrives off each other’s energy making every night a new experience, no one in the building ever knows what might happen next. Following a successful 2017, Baked Shrimp will head into the studio to record their first album due for Winter 2018. Emerging from the Pennsylvania music scene, from the outskirts of the City of Brotherly Love, is the phenom band known as Flux Capacitor. Their fiery, distinct sound has catapulted the group with lightning speed into the National Music Scene. This band of brothers consistently inspire and evoke a new and wildly addicting sound resonating with elements of rock, improvisation, and electronica. They redefine musicality with positive prophetic vocals, complex guitar work, innovative keys/synths/bass stylings, with feverish syncopated drum rhythms. Performances at every show dubbed "Encounters" are filled with improvisation, musical segues, spontaneous covers and teases, creatin… (read more)
“No better,” she answered, “But it made him easier to track! Dad revised the idea by replacing the window weight with a gunny sack. The bull still jumped the fence but the sack hung up in the bob wire. At least they could find him the next mornin’.”
At the banquet, these remarks were presumably met with applause. The Ziffs have been welcomed as deep-pocketed, well-meaning benefactors by most of the surfers on tour, including Slater, who is, after all, one of their business partners. Out in the wide world of surf, however, Ziff’s speech was met with scorn. Online forums and comment threads lit up, rejecting this lecture from a wealthy outsider and, in some quarters, rejecting the very idea of a professionalized sport. On a Surfer magazine thread, an anonymous wit summed up a popular view: “Grumpy locals are what make surfing surfing.”
